Album

This is The Enid's second album, released on EMI Group Limited in 1977. A personal favorite of mine, you can find the prior album and the follow up Enid are a British progressive rock band founded in 1973 by the keyboardist Robert John Godfrey, previously known for his work with Barclay James Harvest. Other core members have included founding guitarists Steve Stewart and Francis Lickerish, and longstanding drummer Dave Storey. The Enid's membership has undergone many changes, always with Godfrey at the helm. The current lineup consists of Godfrey and guitarist Jason Ducker. It is the bands first release since the death of singer Dolores O'Riordan, whose vocals are featured posthumously. The surviving instrumentalists pieced together her demos with in-studio recordings over the course of the subsequent year and worked with long-time producer Stephen Street to finalise the album. The Scarring Party has been mostly silent since its excellent 2010 album Losing Teeth, and Milwaukee has been a lot less creepy for it. The twisted end-timey outfit filled the early 00s with a sinister blend of haunted dance hall music-tubas, banjos, and croaked vocals were the order of the day-and wickedly clever songwriting courtesy of singer Daniel Anthony Bullock. Morbid characters sketches like Raymond Dogboy and Wing positioned Bullock and ScarPar less as a rock band, and more as an Edward Gorey illustration come to life

Another album only available to members of The Stand, the band's fan club/support group. I say "album", but it's really no more than an EP. RJG has always said that he is not satisfied with the various versions of 'Fand' which are out there, so he forever tinkers. Here the track is split over two sides and into four movements but, in my humble opinion, is still no better than the immense original on 'Aerie Faerie Nonsense'.
